Al-Jinn

I picked up this awesome copy of the Arabian Nights complete with some beautiful illustrations a few weeks back, and decided to try my hand at drawing a djinn (genie).

Had a lot of fun with this, and it was good practice for both CG and figure/anatomy drawing. Very happy with how the digital inking of the lineart turned out.

Cut off the bottom at the last minute, because the effect of him swirling off into the smoke from the lamp really wasn't working at all.
Otherwise, I'm pretty happy with this.

The name is the title of the chapter of the Qu'ran about the Jinn, the Al-Jinn.

_{Does this need a mature content tag? I don't think so, but I've seen lighter things than this tagged...}
